All right, there we go. The NaPoWriMo challenge today offered an easy way out to lift my spirits a bit: writing hay(na)ku, which I’ve actually never tried before. It’s just a tercet with one word on the first line, two on the second, three on the third. I’d like to think that they should have the same elements as haiku (nature, cutting words, etc.), but they don’t necessarily need to. And they don’t need to be self-contained, so these three go together. “Three” is kind of a tongue-in-cheek theme here.

why not both?

“making everything fit” … Ha!
