a snake and a lily

There are so many places for me to put mumbo-jumbo that people probably won’t read.  But, I suppose I might as well try to fill them with a thing or two. What are some things about this blog that you ought to know?

Well, first and foremost, and probably obviously, all materials is (c) 2009 and after (unless otherwise indicated) by Joseph Harker. Please don’t use it without permission, okay? Thanks!

I have always been into poetry, but always equally into hesitation and a reluctance to share my thoughts with others. As of April 2009, this has changed somewhat; I did the Writers’ Digest Poem-a-Day Challenge and have been bitten once again by the poetry bug. (I thought I’d gotten over that one in high school and college, but I guess it’s never too late for a relapse.) So I apologize if any of this is amateurish and unpolished, and I may edit some of it as I go. I appreciate constructive and friendly criticism/advice. I do not like people saying “ew this sux”. Stick to the former!

Among many other things, I enjoy German, Björk, and astronomy. You may see references to such pop up sometimes.

If you feel the need to email me (and if you do, I request that you use it for respectful purposes), you can contact me at (linksfreude) (at) (gmail) (dot) (com). Cheers!

    Hi Joseph,

I notice you’re a little under the weather. Hope you will be back to 100% very soon.

I may be being dense but I can’t see how I can “follow” your blog so that I’m automatically aware of your postings. WordPress is different to Blogger and I can’t see what I might click on in order to be aware of your every word! What must I do?

    • Derrick: eep, I’m not sure, not being a Blogger user myself… I know it can be done, though. I think you have to add a widget or whatever it’s called in Blogger called “My Blog List”. Then you should be able to put in whatever links you want. What’s your URL?

    Hi Joseph,

I’m a little late getting back to read your reply. Thanks. I already have a blog list so will have a go at adding your address. Fingers crossed! I have signed up with WordPress which might help.
